ABSTRACT:
A new and distinct variety ofIpomoea batatascalled ‘Stokes purple’ is shown and described. The plant is a prostrate vine, producing several branching vines off the main vine with tri-lobed leaves. The ‘Stokes purple’ plant is distinguished by its storage root, which has purple flesh and purple skin.
