ABSTRACT:
A first swash plate18is coupled to a drive shaft16to be rotatable integrally with the drive shaft16. Single head pistons23are coupled to the first swash plate18via shoes25A,25B. Rotation of the drive shaft16rotates the first swash plate18, which causes the pistons23to reciprocate and compress refrigerant gas. The first swash plate18supports an annular second swash plate51to be rotatable relative to the first swash plate18via a ball bearing52. The second swash plate51is arranged between the first swash plate18and the shoes25B that receive a compressive load to be slidable with respect to the first swash plate18and the shoes25B. Therefore, the first swash plate reliably slides with respect to the second swash plate.
