ABSTRACT:
The lubrication between a shoe and a shoe pocket is improved without having to perform a complicated forming process. In a swash plate compressor comprising a swash plate locked to a drive shaft, which rotates together with the drive shaft, a shoe31that slidably contacts the swash plate, a piston13slidably disposed within a bore defining a compression space and a shoe pocket36that is formed as an integrated part of the piston13and slidably fits with the shoe31, a beveled portion41is formed at an edge of an opening at the shoe pocket36. A recessed portion40of the shoe pocket36is formed so as to achieve a constant curvature, whereas a projecting portion32of the shoe31is formed so as to achieve at least two different curvatures. The shoe pocket is designed so that a tangent point46of the recessed portion40and the beveled portion41is set within a strip range45over which the projecting portion32and the recessed portion40achieve contact with each other.
