ABSTRACT:
A process for impregnating nickel or cadmium active material into a sinte nickel coated graphite fiber composite plaque electrode in which a suspension of 1-20 micron particles of active material in ethylene glycol in a 1:1 to 1:4 weight ratio of glycol to particles is gently worked into the plaque and the ethylene glycol is then evaporated off leaving the particles of active material distributed throughout the plaque. This procedure is repeated until the desired level of loading is achieved.
