A suspension mechanism capable of absorbing vibrations in all directions of a Stirling cycle engine10. The suspension mechanism comprises the Stirling cycle engine10including nut members30on an outer surface of a casing28, a holding ring32fixed to the nut members30substantially coaxially with the Stirling cycle engine10, a holding cylinder40provided so as to cover an outside of the holding ring32substantially coaxially therewith; first mounting portions36formed in the plural number in one end of an axial direction of the holding ring32; second mounting portions38formed in the same number as that of the first mounting portions36in the other end of the axial direction of the holding ring32; third mounting portions42formed in response to the first mounting portions36in one end of an axial direction of the holding cylinder40; fourth mounting portions formed in response to the second mounting portions38in the other end of the axial direction of the holding cylinder40; first extension coil springs50suspended between the first mounting portions36and the third mounting portions42; and second extension coil springs52suspended between the second mounting portions38and the fourth mounting portions44.
