ABSTRACT:
A suspension assembly includes an upper suspension subassembly with an upper end secured to a ceiling, a connecting device including an upper end having a spherical surface engagement relationship with a lower end of the upper suspension subassembly, and a lower suspension subassembly including an upper end having a spherical surface engagement relationship with a lower end of the connecting device and a lower end securely attached to a motor for driving a ceiling fan.
