ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides methods for preventing retinal ganglion cell death in the glaucomatous eye and methods for suppressing apoptosis-specific eIF5A1 expression through the use of antisense oligonucleotides targeted to human apoptosis-specific eIF5A1.
