ABSTRACT:
Rows of heat exchange tubes are supported by transversely disposed support strips having a plurality of U-shaped members interconnected end to end in a manner so that said strips act as a structural member supporting the weight of the tubes and additional support elements from all rows above a given row. Each leg of each U-shaped member converges upwardly or downwardly at an angle of about 8.degree. to 15.degree. with the vertical.
