A supplied air helmet10comprises a visor14and a face seal12that is secured to the visor. The face seal12includes a sealing member18and a frame member16.The sealing member18extends radially inward from the frame member16and has first and second regions of permeability20and22.The second region22has greater permeability than the first region20.The use of a face seal12that has differentiated permeability allows for a controlled flow of air through the interior of the supplied air helmet10.
