ABSTRACT:
A super-high contrast negative type silver halide photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, said emulsion layer or layers or other hydrophilic colloidal layer or layers containing a hydrazine derivative, wherein said material further contains an acidic polymer incorporating not less than 20 mol % of a monomer unit containing an acid group and a hydrophobic polymer incorporating not more than 20 mol % of a monomer unit containing an acid group and having a glass transition temperature of not more than 50.degree. C. The material exhibits high contrast and high sensitivity without forming black spots even when processed with a stable developing solution.
