ABSTRACT:
A .sup.19 F-MRI contrast medium for MRI using .sup.19 F as a detectable nucleus, comprising a metal complex compound in which a macro-cyclic polyamine ligand containing not less than one fluorine atoms is coordinate-bonded to a paramagnetic metal ion. Also disclosed is a specific polyamine metal complex compound suitable for the .sup.19 -F-MRI contrast medium.
