ABSTRACT:
A method of extracting uranium from its ores, by mixing ground ore with sulphuric acid to give a moist ore containing a sulphuric acid concentration of less than 4N, without forming a continuous liquid phase, and curing the moist ore at 50.degree. to 100.degree. C while passing an oxidizing gas through it.
