The present invention relates to sulfone derivatives of formula (I):in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Ar—SO2—CR2R3-L-N(R1)2Iin-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein Ar, L, R1, R2and R3are as defined herein, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and N-oxides thereof, useful in the treatment of a condition which is susceptible to treatment by modulation of 5-HT7receptor activity, such as depression or a sleep disorder.
