Fungicidally active substituted pyrazolin-5-ones of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of one another each represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cyanoalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxycarbonylalkyl, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, aminocarbonylalkyl, alkylaminocarbonylalkyl or dialkylaminocarbonylalkyl, or represents in each case optionally substituted oxiranylalkyl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl or aryl, and
