ABSTRACT:
The invention discloses optionally substituted .alpha.-methylsulfinyl-o-toluidines having pharmacological activity in animals and useful as CNS depressant agents. The compounds may be prepared by reacting an optionally substituted .alpha.-methylthio-o-toluidine with an oxidizing agent.
