ABSTRACT:
Novel alcohols of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.5 is hydrogen are useful intermediates in the preparation of insecticidal esters. The insecticides are compounds in which R.sup.5 is a substituted-vinylcyclopropanecarbonyl group, a tetramethylcyclopropanecarbonyl group, or a chlorophenyl-2-methylpropylcarbonyl group.
