BRIEF SUMMARY
This application is a 371 of PCT/EP95/02062 filed May 31, 1995.
The present invention relates to novel substituted 3-phenylpyrazoles of the formula I ##STR2## where R.sup.1 is --C(R.sup.8).dbd.C(R.sup.7,R.sup.12), ##STR3## --C(R.sup.9, R.sup.10)--C(R.sup.8,R.sup.11,R.sup.12), ##STR4## --C(R.sup.9).dbd.C(R.sup.8)-phenyl or --C(R.sup.9,R.sup.10)--C(R.sup.8,R.sup.13)-phenyl, in which each phenyl ring may if desired carry from one to three substituents selected form the group consisting of nitro, cyano, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, trifluoromethyl, hydroxyl, hydroxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy ) carbonyl; or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulfinyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -halo-alkylsulfinyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulfonyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylsulfonyl; --CO--N(R.sup.16,R.sup.17); of the following members: --O--, --S--, --CS--, --CO-- or --CH(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-- or --N(R.sup.14)--, in which R.sup.14 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl or benzyl; -haloalkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, --COOR.sup.18 or --CO--N(R.sup.19,R.sup.20); hydrogen, cyano, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, --COOR.sup.21, --CO--N (R.sup.22, R.sup.23), --N(R.sup.22,R.sup.23) or --N(R.sup.24)--CO--R.sup.25 ; --N(R.sup.27,R.sup.28), azido, hydroxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -haloalkoxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyloxy or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)carbonyloxy; (R.sup.34) --OR.sup.29, --CO--O--N.dbd.C(R.sup.31)--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl), --CO--O--N.dbd.C(R.sup.31)--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl), --CO--O--N.dbd.C(R.sup.31)--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl) --CO--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CO--O--CH.sub.2 --R.sup.14, --CO--O--C(R.sup.14)--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CO--N(R.sup.34,R.sup.35), --CS--N(R.sup.34,R.sup.35), --CO--NH--SO.sub.2 --(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CO--R.sup.36, --CO--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)--C(R.sup.14).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CO--N(R.sup.34)--C(R.sup.35,R.sup.30)--COOR.sup.29, cyclopentyliminooxycarbonyl or cyclohexyliminooxycarbonyl, in which the carbocycles may if desired carry from one to three C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl radicals; one another hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -haloalkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -haloalkenyl, cyano-C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, 2-tetrahydrofuranyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, 3-oxetanyl, 3-thietanyl, carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxy)carbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)carbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, cyclopropylmethyl, (1-methylthiocycloprop-1-yl)methyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.9 -(.alpha.-alkylalkylidene)iminooxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)carbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is substituted by --C(R.sup.32).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --C(R.sup.32).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl), --C(R.sup.32).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl), --C(R.sup.32).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -haloalkenyl) or --C(R.sup.32).dbd.N--O--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)--R.sup.37, of which may if desired carry from one to three C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl radicals, -C.sub.6 -alkyl having in each case one oxygen, sulfur or aza ring member and, if desired, a further oxygen or sulfur ring member and/or a carbonyl or thiocarbonyl ring member, where each hydrogen atom attached to a ring member may if desired be replaced by one of the following substituents: hydroxyl, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)carbonyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)carbonyloxy or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl)- carbonyloxy, -alkenyl, phenyl-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkynyl or phenoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, where each phenyl ring may be unsubstituted or may carry from one to three radicals in each case selected from the group consisting of nitro, cyano, halogen, C.sub.1 -C
