ABSTRACT:
Styryl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## an electrophotographic photoconductor comprising an electroconductive support material and a photosensitive layer comprising at least one styryl derivative of the same formula are disclosed, in which R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group and substituted aryl group; R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group and a substituted aryl group; and Ar represents an aryl group or a substituted aryl group.
