The curved length has a plurality of removed portions on the concave side thereof, at least a portion of the adjacent surfaces of which contact each other. The depth of the removed portions is greater than one-half the thickness of the wood member but at least 1/4 inch less than the total thickness of the wood member. The stud-truss also includes means permanently maintaining at least the open ends of the adjacent surfaces of each of the removed portions in contact. A method of making the stud-truss and of constructing a small modular building utilizing the stud-truss is also disclosed.
