ABSTRACT:
A stroke information measurement device and a stroke information measurement method, by which stroke information, such as the stroke time, stroke length, etc., of a swimming swimmer can be measured accurately and immediately, are provided. This invention's stroke information measurement device10is characterized in comprising: an image pickup means12, capturing images of a swimming swimmer and outputting the image data of predetermined intervals; a front end detection means22, detecting a front end in the direction of progress of the swimmer from an image of the body of the swimmer in each image data; and a stroke point detection part28, detecting, from among the front ends, the front end at the timing when the swimmer is in a predetermined position in each stroke.
