ABSTRACT:
A stringed instrument includes an elongated supporter4, which is disposed in a sound box1so as to have both ends fixed to a side plate1bof the sound box1, and a vibration absorber5disposed between the supporter4and a sounding board2. The supporter4has a projection4bformed on a surface facing an inner surface of the sounding board2. The projection is brought into contact with the vibration absorber5to press the vibration absorber5against the inner surface of the sounding board2. The vibration absorber5is supported by the supporter4so as not to bring both ends5′and5′of the vibration absorber5into contact with an inner surface of the side plate1b.
