ABSTRACT:
An erosion-inhibited phosphate ester-based functional fluid comprising a major amount of a phosphate ester and from 10 to 50,000 parts per million by weight of a calcium salt of an organic sulfonate, said functional fluid having been heated to a temperature and for a time sufficient to increase the conductivity of said fluid to at least 0.3.mu. mho/cm.
