ABSTRACT:
A strain relief device for coupling of a cable connector to a terminal of an electrical device. The strain relief device includes an elongated base member having a flat surface extending between first and second end portions. A fastener is fixedly connected to the flat surface at the first end portion, for releasably fastening the base to an external surface of a housing to the electrical device. A clamping device extends perpendicularly from the base at the second end portion. The clamping device defines an adjustable slot configured to receive the cable connector. Moreover, the slot is moveable to several elevations with respect to the base. When the base is fastened to the external surface of the electrical device, the slot can be moved to align a cable connector received therein with a terminal of the electrical device.
