ABSTRACT:
A glass batch that retains its free-flowing properties during storage is disclosed wherein at least 50 percent of the Na.sub.2 O requirement of the batch is provided by an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution consisting of both solid and solution phases at the temperature at which the batch is stored.
