Stepper motor of the type comprising a rotor (1), a stator (2) and a coil (3) consisting of a magnetic core (4) and of a winding (5), in which the stator (2) consists of a soft magnetic alloy of the FeNiCr type, the chemical composition of which includes, by weight: 40%.ltoreq.Ni+Co.ltoreq.60%, 0%.ltoreq.Co.ltoreq.7%, 8%.ltoreq.Cr.ltoreq.13.5%, 8%.ltoreq.Cr+Mn+Si+Mo+Nb+V+W.ltoreq.13.5%, the remainder being iron and impurities resulting from the manufacture. Soft magnetic alloy.
