ABSTRACT:
A steering system for vehicles operative in a number of modes, requiring a narrow wheelbase for travelling on highways, and a wide wheelbase for performing tasks, typically agricultural. The steering system enables each of the wheels connected with such a vehicle to be steered independently, thus enabling movement in any direction, and full turns, to include turning about its geometrical center.
Additional computerized systems are provided for the regulation of steering and for the regulation of a power transfer system conventionally used to transfer power to agricultural machinery.
