ABSTRACT:
The steam plant is operated so that the temperature of the steam entering the water separator is compared with the saturation temperature of the steam in the separator in order to produce a temperature difference signal for control of a changeover element. When the temperature difference is less than or equal to zero, the changeover element is activated to deliver a signal corresponding to the level of water in the separator for the control of the plant. When the temperature difference signal is greater than a critical value, the changeover element is actuated to deliver a signal corresponding to the temperature of the steam downstream of the separator for the control of the plant. When the temperature difference is greater than zero and less than the critical value, the changeover element is retained in the previously activated state.
