A stapler having a staple magazine3for storing adhesive-coated staples. The staple is bent at its legs by being firmly held between a pressing plate and a matrix anvil, heat from an electric heater inside the anvil is transmitted to the adhesive to fuse the adhesive, and documents are bound by the staple with enhanced adhesive strength.
