ABSTRACT:
A stabilized superoxide dismutase (SOD) composition contains as additives cyclodextrin, preferably hydroxypropyl-.beta.-cyclodextrin, and either a sugar or a sugar alcohol, preferably mannitol.
Freeze-dried formulations with the composition according to the invention yield clear solutions with a high enzymatic activity on resolvation.
