ABSTRACT:
The use is disclosed of at least one acylcyanamides of the formula ##STR1## in which the symbol R represents a straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group having from 5 to 21 carbon atoms, such group being unsubstituted or substituted by a OH, O--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OH, O--R' group or a mixture thereof, in which R' represents an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; in which M is a monovalent or divalent metal cation; and in which n represents the valency of the metal cation
to stabilize, thermoplastic molding compositions containing a homopolymer or a copolymer of vinylchloride or a mixture thereof. There is also disclosed heat stabilized thermoplastic molding compositions comprising polyvinylchloride, or a polymer of vinylchloride, and at least one acylcyanamide of Formula I.
