ABSTRACT:
A splicing tape (100) is provided having a base layer (10), an adhesive layer (20) on the top of the base layer (10), a first adhesive strip (30a) and a second adhesive strip (30b) on the bottom of the base layer (10), and a two lines of separating portions (50aand50b) in the base layer (10). A splicing tape (100a) is also provided having a base layer (10a), a top adhesive (20a) on the top of the base layer (10) with detackified portions (14aand15a), and a bottom adhesive (30c) on the bottom of the base layer (10a) with a detackified portion (23a), and first and second lines of separating portions (50aand50b) in the base layer (10a). The line of separating portions (50aor50b) can include perforations having a ratio of perforation length to space between perforations between a ratio of 4 to 6 and a ratio of 9 to 1.
