ABSTRACT:
A shock absorbing grip for a golf club having a strip formed of a polyurethane layer bonded to a felt layer. The strip is spirally wrapped about the golf club handle with the side edges being in adjoining relationship. Stitching extends from the underside of the felt layer over the outer surface of the polyurethane layer to tighten the portion of the polyurethane layer between the stitching to define a slip-inhibiting protrusion that forms a spiral protrusion along the length of the completed grip.
