ABSTRACT:
A spinning wheel amusement device having a receiving guide for receiving a token or coin which is deposited on to a spinning wheel which is rotated via a motor. The spinning wheel is provided with a plurality of receptacles spaced about its periphery for receiving the token or coin therein. A peripheral token guide surrounds the spinning wheel and directs tokens or coins not successfully received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel. The device includes a microprocessor configured to control and operate different components of the system. The device is also provided with sensors for detecting the presence of a token or coin received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel and for determining the position of the spinning. Each receptacle has a corresponding value such that an award, such as number of tickets or vouchers, are dispensed when a coin or token is successfully received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel. Various lights, scoring indicators and sounds may be added to add to the attraction and excitement of the game.
