ABSTRACT:
A spherical body of baked or graphitized carbon having a thermal conductivity at 25.degree. C. of 0.03 cal/cm.sec..degree. C. or more and an anisotropy of thermal expansion coefficient of 40% or less has an excellent service life under severe thermal conditions without causing pitting or cracking and can be used as industrial machine parts such as ball bearings.
