ABSTRACT:
A spacer arrangement1, 40is provided in which wedges5, 6; 45, 46are arranged to have an interface7, 47between them such that a thermally variable member8, 48can cause relative motion between the wedges5, 6; 45, 46to adjust an arrangement lateral dimension dependent upon temperature. In such circumstances with the arrangement1, 40positioned within a gap3between a casing14and unison ring13, retention of position of that unison ring13can be maintained. The unison ring is arranged to adjust position of variable vanes.
