ABSTRACT:
A sound absorbing material comprises a fiber gathered body containing at least 50% by weight of synthetic fiber staples and having a mean density of 0.02-0.2 g/cm.sup.3, in which at least 30% by weight of irregular-shaped fibers having a particular sectional shape are contained in the fiber gathered body.
