ABSTRACT:
1,3,5-triacrylylhexahydro-s-triazine is prepared as a solution in excess of about 10 weight percent and in yields of up to about 99 percent of theoretical by reacting acrylonitrile and trioxane with a catalytic amount of an acid having a Hammet activity function (H.sub.o) in excess of about 7.3 utilizing methylene chloride as the reaction medium.
