ABSTRACT:
A system and a process for treating solid waste are disclosed. The system includes a facility having one or more treatment lines for processing the solid waste to recover recyclable and useful materials such as corrugated paper, ferrous metals, plastic products, paper, and glass and to form various fractions which can be converted to a compost material. The facility is a substantially zero discharge facility having a minimal environmental impact.
