ABSTRACT:
A solid tire and wheel assembly for vehicle moving through a tubular conduit having excellent abrasion resistance particularly excellent uneven wear resistance is produced by forming a composition layer composed of (a) a diene elastomer, (b) .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, (c) a divalent metal compound and (d) an organic peroxide on the outer circumferential surface of the metal rim of the wheel and curing said layer by heating.
