ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a solid state wristwatch of relatively small size useful as a small man's watch or even a ladies' watch. It incorporates an arm responsive inertial switch for energizing a light emitting diode display. The display forms part of a timing module and is mounted on one side of a laminar ceramic substrate. Mounted on the other side of the substrate is a combination timepiece and calendar circuit chip. Printed circuits are formed on non-contacting surfaces of the substrate laminations and interconnected by conductive pins. The entire timing module is staked to a plastic frame which also carries the watch batteries, quartz crystal, trimmer capacitor, switches, and other watch components.
