ABSTRACT:
The present invention is a liquid crystal display which has liquid crystal disposed between a first and second substrate. The first substrate has transparent conductive indicia members with blending conductive leads forming conductive paths to the transparent conductive indicia members. The second substrate has a solid conductive reflective portion or surface. Application of a potential difference between the indicia members and reflective surface causes predetermined indicia and leads to become energized, and the liquid crystal near the transparent indicia and conductive leads is activated, however the leads do not appear activated since the blending lead obscure the activated liquid crystal.
