A portion of an anode lead frame3of a solid electrolytic capacitor1is bent to form a protruding portion4that protrudes toward an anode lead20. The protruding portion4includes a first horizontal portion41positioned higher than and substantially parallel to the anode lead20, a second horizontal portion40contacting the anode lead20, a sloping portion42linking the inner end of the first horizontal portion41with the outer end of the second horizontal portion40, and an auxiliary bent portion43bent upward from the inner end of the second horizontal portion40and substantially symmetrical with the sloping portion42. A contact surface46of the second horizontal portion40with the anode lead20is formed flat, and a surface47of the second horizontal portion40on the opposite side to the contact surface46is formed with a rounded curvature.
