ABSTRACT:
A multiterminal-pair solid electrolytic capacitor employing a two-terminal type capacitor element is provided. In the solid electrolytic capacitor10in accordance with the present invention, anode terminal patterns42A (and anode terminals43A) are connected to an anode part24of a capacitor element12through anode vias44A formed in a substrate14and an anode pattern38D formed on a element carrying surface14a. On the other hand, cathode terminal patterns42B (and cathode terminals43B) are connected to a cathode part28on the surface of an accumulator26of the capacitor element12through cathode vias44B formed in the substrate14and cathode patterns38A to38C formed on the element carrying surface14a. Therefore, when the solid electrolytic capacitor10is mounted on a packaging substrate from the mounting surface14bside while a predetermined voltage is applied to four pairs of anode terminals43A and cathode terminals43B formed on the mounting surface14b, the solid electrolytic capacitor10functions as a four-terminal-pair solid electrolytic capacitor.
