ABSTRACT:
A solenoid valve having a valve body and a magnetic head with a chamber arranged between a pair of magnetic cores. A movable armature is provided in the chamber and has a sealing member movable therewith between open and closed positions relative to a passageway through one of the magnet cores. A spring is provided for biassing the armature and, accordingly, the associated sealing member toward one of the two positions thereof. The force of the magnetic field generated by the electrically energizable magnetic coil encircling the magnet cores is greater than the return force of the return spring.
