ABSTRACT:
A solenoid switch assembly adapted for use with internal combustion engine starter motors which includes a solenoid switch mounted within a housing such that the solenoid core reciprocates parallel to the electrical leads. The electrical leads are aligned with the solenoid core and extend from opposite sides of the housing to provide a generally "in-line" configuration. Preferably, the housing includes two interchangeable, mating housing sections. The solenoid switch elements are mounted within the housing without using individual fasteners for the separate elements.
