ABSTRACT:
A socket contact of small-size is provided for which detachment at solder from the print substrate is difficult. In the contact1, a face in the thickness direction120of a front end portion of a pair of elastic arms12aand12bfaces toward the insertion opening21. When a blade contact3is inserted into an insertion opening21, it is possible to open front end portions of a pair of elastic arms12aand12bin opposing directions. The configuration is such that, by providing first to third press fit fragments111, 112, and113on a base unit11, the same is securely held to the housing2,so that only compressive stress acts on the pair of lead portions11cand11d, and can be made difficult to detach at solder from the print substrate1p.
