ABSTRACT:
In a snubber circuit, two transformers for regenerating snubber energy are commonly provided for more than two switching elements in each of the arms of an inverter. The number of snubber energy regenerating transformers can be limited to only two, regardless of the number of switching elements. The circuit can be simple and compact, without decreasing the efficiency of regeneration of snubber energy.
