ABSTRACT:
A snap-in lampholder with insulation displacing contacts which can be attached to the end or midspan of a two conductor electrical cord. The lampholder portion has a main body which contains a screwshell portion and a contact portion. The contacts extend into the screwshell portion to engage the screwshell and center base contact of an inserted lamp. A cap is depressed to force the individual conductors into associated ID contacts and to lock the cap to the contact portion. The entire assembly can then be mounted to a mounting can or panel which in turn can be mounted upon a mounting surface.
