ABSTRACT:
A smokable material formed by heating a cellulosic or carbohydrate material at a temperature within the range of 150.degree.-750.degree. C in an inert, non-oxidizing atmosphere for a time sufficient to effect a weight loss of at least 60% but not more than 90%.
