ABSTRACT:
A smell-removing and deodorizing composition comprising as an effective ingredient a beta-substituted acrylic acid or salt thereof, having the formula: ##STR1## wherein M is hydrogen, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium, R.sub.1 is alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or alkenyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or alkenyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms.
